ZUM SONG: "Ronnie Rising" ist ein 4 Song Medley von Songs der Band Rainbow. Es besteht aus den Songs "A Light in the Black," "Tarot Woman" und "Stargazer" vom 1976er Album "Rising" und "Kill the King", welcher 1978 auf "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" veröffentlicht wurde.

Das Cover ist erstmalig am 28. März 2014 auf RONNIE JAMES DIO – THIS IS YOUR LIFE erschienen, eine CD zu Ehren des 2010 verstorbenen Ronnie James Dio, auf denen Bands wie Motörhead, Metallica, Anthrax, Sorpions und Tenacious D seine bekanntesten Stücke covern.

Wie Metallica-Drummer Lars Urlich dem Rolling Stone erzählte, war es nicht schwer für die Thrash-Legenden, dieses Medley einzuspielen. Vieles, was vorallem das Riffing angeht, spielen Metallica seit Jahren ähnlich und man habe sich von Dio's sound und Spielweise beeinflussen lassen.

Besonders Lars Ulrich ist ein großer Dio-Fan, da er ihn während er in Dänemark aufwuchs mehrere Male live sah und seine Musik Ulrichs Spielweise beeinflusste.
