ZUM SONG: Whiplash wurde von Metallica erstmals am 23. Oktober 1982 Live gespielt und ist einer der letzten Songs, die für das Album Kill Em All geschrieben wurden.

Whiplash erfreut sich größter Beliebtheit in der Metal Community und wurde unzählige Male gecovert. Das berühmteste Cover haben Motörhead beigesteuert für das Metallica Tribut-Album "Metallic Attack: The Ultimate Tribute" und damit 2005 gleich Ihren ersten Grammy gewonnen.
