Die Symphonic Metaller EPICA aus Holland werden ihr fünftes Studioalbum "Requiem For The Indifferent" am 9. März 2012 via Nuclear Blast Records veröffentlichen. Die CD wurde in den Gate Studios in Wolfsburg mit Sascha Paeth aufgenommen.

Kommentar der Band zum neuen Album:
"This title refers to the end of an era. Mankind can no longer stick their head in the sand for the things that are happening around us. We are facing many challenges. There is an enormous tension between different religions and cultures, wars, natural disasters and a huge financial crisis, which is getting out of control. More than ever we will need each other to overcome these problems. As we are all connected; the universe, earth, nature, animals and human beings, this period in time will be the prelude to the end for those who still don't want to, or simply won't see it. 'A Requiem For The Indifferent', but also a possibility for a new beginning with great new chances!"

Haut mich nicht unbedingt um...mal sehen, wie das restliche Album wird. Das letzte fand ich zwar gut, aber auch nicht so stark wie die ersten drei. The Divine Conspiracy find ich immer noch am besten, dicht gefolt von Consign To Oblivion...

Mir gefällt das Album inzwischen extrem gut - für mich gibts keinen Ausfall, ich mag jeden Song. Es ist zwar auch kein richtiger "Hit" dabei, aber das brauch's mMn auch nicht bei dem Album.^^ Braucht zwar etwas, bis es sich erschliesst, aber danach hat man stets 70 Minuten Freude daran. FInds auch besser als die neue Nightwish, auch wenn mir jenes Album auch sehr gut gefällt, aber von der Musik her ist's ja eh doch sehr unterschiedlich inzwischen. Kann's auf jeden Fall nur empfehlen, mal reinzuhören, wer Epica noch nicht kennt.
